Overview

Existential and Transformational Phenomenology and Critical Theories and their value for Public Policy and Administration are very much areas of research I routinely read about and incorporate in my research-informed teaching.

Other recent areas of research interest include reflexivity, nudging and behavioural theories in public policy and education. Additionally, a long research interest in crisis governance and the use of different pulbic policy frameworks to investigate crises in society and public organisations. Information Systems Integration and Infrastructure Inderdependencies (in National Information Infrastructures) remain a practical andresearch interest as the above areas were core to my early career and employment but also in my current teaching.

However, in previous research I looked into the contrast between closed and open innovation and this is an area where I will go back to in future research and writing efforts. This area of work is situated in different disciplinary domains such as public administration, economics, business, as there are many lessons to be had from developing insights in differnt disciplines.
