Overview

I started my career as a teacher of English at secondary level, before undertaking my Masters in Educational Research and Women's Studies, and my PhD in Educational Research at Lancaster University. Subsequently I worked as a researcher in a range of institutions including a children's charity, before becoming a lecturer in higher education. In previous roles I have led on equality, diversity and inclusion, and taught on initial teacher education programmes. My current area of research is the the work of school-based police officers in England.
