Personal profile
Overview
As Senior lecturer in Enterprise at University of the West of Scotland and Enterprise Lead for the School of Business and Creative Industries I lead a dynamic and growing enterprise team which encompasses Senior Lecturers in Enterprise, Lecturers in Enterprise and dedicated research assistants. In this capacity I have developed and delivered a wide range of strategic projects aimed at fulfilling the vision, mission and values of the Business School and the University towards delivering on its wider strategy. This has included the design and implementation of a series of physical business incubation centres across our campuses, authoring and managing the Business School’s successful application for Small Business Charter Accreditation, designing and managing our multi award winning curricular enterprise portfolio and introducing a wide range of co-curricular enterprise activities and initiatives. I am a highly experienced, flexible and adaptable business practitioner and academic with a proven track record as a successful, innovative and award winning entrepreneur. Previously employed for 3 years as a Regional Enterprise Manager with PSYBT supporting young people starting and continuing in business and for 5 years as a business start up and growth adviser for Business Gateway where I supported over 1000 businesses.
