Short Bio
Dr Adebisi Adewole is the Director of the Centre for African Research on Enterprise and Economic Development (CAREED) at the University of the West of Scotland, United Kingdom, where he also lectures in Logistics, Procurement Systems, and Supply Chain Strategy. Adewole holds a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of the Arts London, with an investigation in Supply Chain Relationships and Information Sharing in the UK Clothing manufacturing Industry. He holds other academic qualifications including Higher Diploma in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) (Hons) Business Law; Master of Arts degree in Diplomatic Studies; and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He worked as Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at London Metropolitan University, and as visiting lecturer with the University of Westminster london, and University of East London respectively. Professor (Dr) Adewole is also affiliated with a number of professional associations. He achieved the status of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK, Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), UK, Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Adewole has published in 3-star Journals and gained the award of the prestigious Emerald Literati Club. He recently Co-edited a book titled "Logistics and Global Value Chains in Africa - The Impact on Trade and Development", which was published by Palgrave Macmillan. His new book, titled "Structural Transformation and Economic Development in Africa" is due for publication in late summer of 2025.
