This 50-minute workshop aims to help colleagues to explore or revisit
deep underpinning assumptions and values they enact in their
professional teaching practices. It intends to cut across all four
conference themes but using innovation as a rooting notion. It is
designed in a form of two reflection-yielding exercises that use real and
mental creative images to unlock creative potential for developing
authentic practice approaches to effective student learning and support
aligning with deep individual values and collective motivations (Webb,
2023). Theoretically, the workshop will be underpinned by the research
on value of imagination as simultaneously a necessary condition and the
most valuable resource for a renewal of professional calling,
responsibility and motivation in value-driven and humanity-centred
actions. It is designed to stimulate a wider sharing conversation around
questions such us: what underpins the innovativeness of UWS
Curriculum Framework practices, and how we can use images to guide
innovative T&L/support practices.
