    Description

    UWS Crucible 2017 is a programme for early career researchers that aims to provide participants with the time and space to see the bigger picture. UWS Crucible 2017 will encourage researchers to:
    • Put their roles into a wider societal context – by understanding the importance of engaging with the public and the media, and thinking about the social and technical challenges facing society
    • Share perspectives and build relationships which may lead to interdisciplinary collaborations now or in the future
    • Think creatively and understand the skills and attitudes likely to make research more innovative
