Paper presented at the 12th International Conference on Cultural Policies Research, Antwerp entitled Cultural Engagement in the Context of Crisis: Resilience Building through Virtual Cultural Engagement in Disadvantaged Communities in Egypt
Activity: Talk or presentation › Oral presentation
In this paper we discuss examples of emerging e-forms of arts and cultural engagement and examine how these can help disadvantaged communities in low-middle income countries such as Egypt develop resilience and emerge stronger from the crisis, while experiencing culture through innovation and technology. The paper discusses a novel model of virtual cultural engagement methodology that utilizes a newly developed bespoke virtual platform, structured around non-formal education, aimed at resilience building.
