Description
The paper presented at Doctoral Symposium in Arts and Cultural Management at AIMAC 2022 discussed the results of the study funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund that adapts a participatory action research approach; engaging a target group of young people in care shelters in Egypt, in the process through crafts-based e-workshops to provide a timely analysis of how virtual formats of cultural engagement help them build resilience, develop coping mechanisms, and emerge stronger from crisis. The virtual platform utilized, is purpose-built and supported with an app and a technology that enables minimum use of internet data and is free to access, designed to address the digital divide challenge and other technological barriers the target group faces.
