Description
Now, given an indispensable need for automation in the digital transformation of our society, economy and industry, future mobile networks are not an exception. Driven by challenges that the 5G/6G technology exhibits, the focus of this talk is to demonstrate an emerging use of artificial intelligence and machine learning as enabling tools for future cellular access and backhaul networks. Interestingly, these intelligent algorithms and systems can detect poor coverage or outage in many challenging network environments, e.g., poor or limited coverage in remote or sparsely populated or hard to reach areas, social gathering, and disaster affected scenarios. These new intelligent paradigms can facilitate the rapid deployment of pop-up networks, e.g., flying base stations, meeting the mobile user demand and network capacity, building reliable and resilient networks and guarantee the global information and communication requirements as articulated in United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for future smart and resilient cities.Period | 13 Sept 2021 → 15 Sept 2021 |
