Description
The University of the West of Scotland hosted a group of 27 Primary 7 (P7) students from St Bartholomew's Primary School as part of Developing the Young Workforce. Together with two academics at UWS, we presented the students with hands-on workshops involving 'Measuring the Speed of Light with Chocolate', 'Magic Microwave' and 'Transport Infrastructure'. The latter workshop being mine focused on modes of transport at different scales, who is involved in providing these modes and how global warming affects transport systems. The workshop aimed at inspiring P7 pupils by presenting them with real-life problems facing the transport sector and some of the exciting career opportunities within the sector.Period | 5 Nov 2019 |
