During this session, participants will learn when, where, and how to apply the principles of reliable design to achieve safe and effective care. We encourage participants to bring examples of local efforts where they have encountered challenges in achieving high levels of reliability to practice the application of the principles.
After this presentation you will be able to:
1. Describe how to use process mapping to learn about processes and existing defects 2. Use the three-step Reliable Design Process to improve the reliability of processes 3. Discuss when and where to apply the principles of reliable design within any processes
