A Capacity Building Workshop on “Embedding and Mapping SDGs in Higher Education Teaching, Learning, and Research” was conducted on 8th January 2026 at the Dr. NGP ASC Seminar Hall. The session was organised by the FDP Cell of Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education, Government of India.The workshop brought together over 80 educators from the Business and Commerce faculties, resulting in dynamic discussions and meaningful knowledge exchange. The session was designed as an interactive and experiential learning programme, incorporating digital engagement tools such as Mentimeter, Padlet, and Kahoot! to encourage collaboration, critical reflection, and real-time feedback.
The workshop focused on practical strategies for embedding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into curriculum design and pedagogical practices. It also addressed methods for mapping SDGs to research priorities and aligning them with institutional strategy. Additionally, participants explored accreditation alignment, including integration with NAAC Self-Study Report (SSR) frameworks and AACSB standards, to enhance quality assurance processes and support global benchmarking initiatives.
