Description

The provision of adequate high-quality social care for older people has long presented a challenge to policymakers across the UK. Social care has been the subject of many inquiries, and over time there have been many attempts to improve or reform provision. However, it has often proved extremely difficult to achieve successful changes in social care provision, while social care continues to often be viewed as ‘low status’ and less deserving of attention than health care.
