Area of research expertise - Outline

I'm interested in all aspects of creative writing. Recently I've added electronic poetry and drama to my practice, which has consisted mostly of prose. I'm interested in interdisciplinary crossovers with science, health, politics, heritage and sociology.

As well as research interests in the Gothic, the First World War, dementia studies and psychogeography, I'm increasingly involved with community literary events in and around Paisley.

My first novel was awarded a PhD: my second is currently steering itself away from crime towards the literary.  The Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship in Grez-sur-Loing in central-Northern France, which I will attend in November 2017, will take me towards completion of the first draft.
